Press Release: Protectstar™ Balances Security and Sustainability with Energy-Efficient Website
February 08, 2023

Protectstar™, a leading provider of innovative cybersecurity solutions, is proud to announce its commitment to operating a sustainable and environmentally responsible official website.

Protectstar™ announced today its commitment to operating a sustainable and environmentally responsible website. With the internet now contributing to more greenhouse gases than air travel, Protectstar™ has taken steps to reduce its carbon footprint and minimize its impact on the environment.

"At Protectstar™, our mission is to protect what matters most, both in terms of online security and environmental responsibility," said Chris Bohn, CEO of Protectstar™. "We are proud to serve over 5 million customers globally with cutting-edge security apps that leverage AI and are effective, easy to use, and visually appealing. And now, with our sustainable website, we are demonstrating our commitment to making a positive impact on the world."

The Protectstar™ website, which is powered by renewable energy, was recently rated cleaner than 94% of web pages tested and produces only 0.07 grams of CO2 per visit. This is the same weight as 0.32 sumo wrestlers and as much CO2 as boiling water for 6,604 cups of tea. Furthermore, the website emits the same amount of carbon that three trees absorb in a year.

"We understand the importance of operating in a sustainable manner and are proud to have a website that not only protects our customers' sensitive information, but also has a minimal impact on the environment," said Bohn.

Compared to other major companies, the Protectstar website uses significantly less energy. For example, Twitter.com produces 1.55 grams of CO2 per visit, 20 times more than Protectstar, and Apple.com produces 0.82 grams of CO2 per visit, 12 times more. Even the energy-efficient website of Greenpeace.org produces 0.10 grams of CO2 per visit, which is 1.4 times more than Protectstar.

"At Protectstar™, we are committed to shaping security and making the world a safer place, one website visit at a time," said Bohn.
