Can I use Anti Spy together with Norton, Bitdefender, ESET, Kaspersky, or other security apps?
Yes — Anti Spy can generally be used without any problem together with other security apps and antivirus scanners.
In the official FAQ, Protectstar explicitly states that Anti Spy works well together with other solutions such as firewalls and antivirus scanners. According to Protectstar, the same also applies to Antivirus AI, Camera Guard, and Micro Guard. Many users already run these apps alongside other security solutions, and according to the FAQ, no conflicts are known.
That is a major practical advantage:
Anti Spy specializes in spyware, stalkerware, and hidden surveillance. A classic antivirus scanner or another security app can continue to handle general malware, web, or device protection functions in parallel. That creates layered protection, instead of forcing one single app to cover everything by itself.
There is only one important technical exception:
Apps that themselves use Android’s VPN mechanism cannot run in parallel without limits. Android allows only one prepared VPN service at a time per user or profile. That affects, for example, Firewall AI when used together with another active VPN app. For Anti Spy itself, this is normally not a problem because the app does not rely on that single VPN slot.
In short: Yes, you can generally use Anti Spy together with other security apps. For many users, that combination is actually the most sensible protection strategy.
