From your first sale.

You start with 20% commission on every referred sale. As your volume grows, you are automatically upgraded: 35% from 30 sales per month (Professional), and 50% from 100 sales per month (Elite).

Once you reach the sales threshold for a higher tier, the new commission applies to all sales referred after that point. Resellers can use the same tiers as preferred pricing when reselling licenses.

90 days. If someone clicks your link and buys within the following 90 days, the sale is attributed to you.

That is longer than many traditional affiliate programs and gives your recommendations enough time to convert, especially with security software, where buyers often research and compare before deciding.

After the cancellation and money-back period has expired. Once that period is over and the purchase has not been canceled, the commission moves from pending status to your payable balance.

If a customer cancels within the eligible period, the commission is reversed automatically. You can always see pending and confirmed commissions separately in your dashboard, with no surprises.

Monthly, once your confirmed balance reaches at least USD 50. Payouts are made via PayPal or bank transfer in USD, at the beginning of each month for all confirmed sales from the previous month.

If your balance stays below USD 50, it carries over to the next month and accumulates with your next sales. You lose nothing. Your live dashboard always shows how much is payable and how much is still in the confirmation phase.

Both work. If someone clicks your tracking link and buys within 90 days, you automatically receive the commission via the cookie. If someone uses your personal coupon code at checkout, the sale is assigned directly to your account, even without a previous click.

Coupons are especially valuable for video content, podcasts, and print, where links are harder to click. Your personal coupon code becomes available in the dashboard after approval and also gives your audience a small discount.

Upgrades within the 90-day tracking window are commissionable. If you recommend an entry-level license and the customer upgrades within 90 days to a premium, multi-device, or multi-year option, you earn commission on the upgrade amount.

Tip: Recommend higher-value editions or multi-year licenses from the start. This maximizes both your commission and the value for the people you refer.

Both are possible, and you can combine them. As an affiliate, you recommend Protectstar through tracking links and coupons and earn commission on every referred sale. As a reseller, you buy licenses at partner prices and resell them to your customers, for example as an IT consultant or in B2B sales.

Both models use the same tiers: 20%, 35%, and 50%. You decide which model fits your business best, or combine both. Purchases made through your own affiliate link are not commissionable, however (see Fair Partner Policy).
