Does Protectstar sell my data? What our Android apps actually process
No — Protectstar does not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising, tracking, or profiling purposes. Our Android apps follow a clear principle: no data trading, no advertising IDs, no trackers.
At the same time, it is important to say this transparently and honestly: in order for some of our Android apps to protect you reliably against malware, spyware, and tampering, they process minimal technical information that is required for security analysis.
Depending on the app and function, this may include in particular:
- app names or package names
- digital fingerprints (SHA-256 / MD5 checksums)
- in certain cases technical device metadata, such as Android version, manufacturer, or model
- for special functions, also temporary technical IP processing, for example for security or operational purposes or for a Whois lookup in Firewall AI
What we do not collect or transmit:
- no contents of your files or apps
- no GPS or movement data
- no advertising or tracking IDs
- no complete apps or files for analysis
Instead, only the technically necessary signals are processed so that our protection systems can detect threats, identify tampering, and reduce false positives. The transmission takes place encrypted via HTTPS / AES-256 to our Protectstar AI Cloud. According to our privacy information, processing is carried out in a data-minimizing way and—where required—with clear in-app information and consent.
In short: Protectstar does not trade your data. We process only the minimum needed for protection, integrity, and precise threat detection—and that is exactly the difference between privacy first and blind security marketing.
