How to Resolve Disk Space Issues After an Interrupted Free Space Erase Process in iShredder Windows

Issue: After running the "Erase Free Space" feature in iShredder Windows, my hard drive became nearly full due to a power outage that interrupted the process. My disk was only about 1/3 full before I started, but now it's close to maximum capacity. How can I complete the cleaning process and restore my disk space?

Solution:
Restart the Erase Process: Try running the "Erase Free Space" feature again using the 1-cycle 0xff method. This should complete the erasure process, and iShredder will automatically clean the blocked free space and generate an erasure report.

Manually Delete Temporary Files: If restarting the erasure doesn't resolve the issue, you can manually delete the temporary freespace.000 files created during the process. Follow these steps:

  1. Enable the "Show hidden files" option in Windows Explorer.
  2. Navigate to your C: drive and locate the freespace.000 files.
  3. Delete these files to free up space.
