How do I connect my apps and licenses to MY.PROTECTSTAR? Instructions for shop and Google Play purchases

How you connect an app or license to MY.PROTECTSTAR depends first on where you purchased it. That is the most important difference: Purchases in the Protectstar Online Shop work differently from purchases through Google Play.

If you purchased directly from the Protectstar Online Shop, you receive an activation code. You store this in MY.PROTECTSTAR under “My Apps & Licenses”. That directly links your license to your account and allows it to be managed centrally there. This is the classic and most complete MY.PROTECTSTAR workflow.

If you purchased in the Google Play Store, you do not need an activation code. In that case, license management basically runs through your Google account. If your app supports MY.PROTECTSTAR, also sign in to the app with your Protectstar account. That allows your purchase to be linked with MY.PROTECTSTAR or made visible there.

The important expectation here is this: For Play Store purchases, Google Play remains the primary place for purchase, term, renewal, and billing. In that case, MY.PROTECTSTAR is mainly intended for your account, overview, linking, and additional functions. If you want to manage your licenses as fully as possible within MY.PROTECTSTAR, purchasing from the Protectstar Online Shop is the more direct path.
