Why don’t I receive an activation code after my Google Play purchase even though I use MY.PROTECTSTAR?
That is normal. When you buy a Protectstar app through the Google Play Store, you do not receive a separate activation code. In that case, your license is automatically managed through your Google account.
Registering for MY.PROTECTSTAR therefore does not create a retroactive code. For Google Play purchases, MY.PROTECTSTAR primarily serves as an additional account and overview layer for supported features — not as a replacement for Google Play’s actual licensing logic.
In practical terms, this means:
- no code is needed,
- activation is handled through Google Play,
- and in supported cases your purchase may still become visible in MY.PROTECTSTAR or be linked there.
You mainly receive an activation code when you buy directly from the Protectstar online shop. In that case, the license is linked to your account through that code.
In short: Google Play purchase = no activation code. Online shop purchase = activation code. That distinction is the key point.
