Google Play Store: Where can I find my license key or activation code?
If you purchased a Protectstar app through the Google Play Store, the most important answer is: You will not find a license key or activation code, because there is no separate code for Google Play purchases. Protectstar has now explained this several times: Play Store purchases are unlocked automatically through your Google account, not via a key sent by Protectstar.
When is there an activation code at all?
You mainly receive an activation code from Protectstar when you purchase directly from the Protectstar Online Shop. In that case, you can store and manage the license in MY.PROTECTSTAR. For a Google Play purchase, however, the rule is: no code, no manual entry, no separate unlock via key.
If the Pro version still does not appear:
Then the issue is usually not a missing code, but rather the account or purchase mapping. Therefore, please check:
- whether you are signed in with the correct Google account,
- whether the app is up to date,
- whether a restart of the device helps,
- and whether the app then correctly recognizes the paid edition.
Protectstar also notes that, if an in-app unlock has been disrupted, you may under certain circumstances be able to trigger the purchase again; Google should not charge you twice if the same account is being used.
If you need support:
The best thing to send support is the GPA number from your Google receipt, a screenshot of the app, and a note indicating which Google account was used for the purchase. That makes it much easier to narrow down the problem quickly.
