What can I do if Micro Guard sometimes switches itself off?

Some devices — especially newer Android versions such as Android 13 or 14 — may automatically stop apps or put them to sleep under certain conditions. In addition, device systems or drivers are occasionally reloaded — for example when playing music or during VoIP calls — and this can temporarily disable the Micro Guard Android app. Here are some steps that may help:

  1. Check battery and power-saving settings
    Disable battery optimization:
In your device settings (for example “Settings” → “Apps” or “Battery & device care”), check whether Micro Guard is set to “not optimized” so it will not be stopped automatically.
  2. Test power-saving mode:
If power-saving mode is enabled, try turning it off. In some cases, power-saving mode prevents Micro Guard from continuing to run in the background.
  3. Manage background data and permissions
    Review app permissions:
Make sure Micro Guard has all required permissions (for example microphone access and background process permissions).
  4. Refresh permissions:
In some cases, it helps to briefly revoke microphone access or other permissions and then grant them again so Android registers the app again.
  5. Reinstall Micro Guard
    Uninstall & reinstall:
Remove Micro Guard completely and reinstall it from the official Play Store. This gives the app a clean integration.
  6. Use the latest app version:
Make sure you have the latest version of the app installed — updates sometimes include important bug fixes.
  7. Install all system updates
    Android and manufacturer updates:
Android systems and manufacturer-specific system apps (for example Samsung, Xiaomi, and others) regularly receive updates that can fix compatibility problems.
  8. Keep the device current:
Make sure your device is fully up to date to rule out known bugs.
  9. Test the device in “Safe Mode”
    Identify conflicts with other apps:
By booting into Safe Mode, you can check whether a third-party app is causing the problem. If Micro Guard runs stably there, another app is likely interfering.
  10. Check for other malware or spyware
    Use a scanner:
If you suspect another app is disrupting Micro Guard, scanning your device with Anti Spy or Antivirus AI can help identify the cause.

If the problem continues despite these steps, please contact our Support Heroes and include your device model, Android version, and a brief description of the situation. That helps us analyze the issue more quickly.
