I bought the app, but it still keeps showing me an upgrade to PRO or Premium. What can I do?
If you unlocked a Protectstar app such as Antivirus AI, Firewall AI, Anti Spy, iShredder, Camera Guard, or Micro Guard via an in-app purchase in Google Play, your PRO or Premium features should automatically be available as soon as the payment has been completed successfully.
If the app still continues to offer you an upgrade, please check the following first:
1. Check the purchase status
Open Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Budget & history or check your Google Play order history on the web. Only a fully completed purchase will be unlocked correctly in the app.
2. Reload the app
Completely close the app, open it again, and restart your device once. In many cases, the unlock is then recognized correctly.
3. Use the correct Google account
Especially on devices with multiple Google accounts, the issue is often not the purchase itself but the wrong account assignment. Make sure the exact account used for the purchase is active.
4. Update the app and Play Store
Use the latest version of both the app and the Play Store so that purchase verification works properly.
If you purchased directly from the Protectstar Online Shop, please check your email for the download link and activation code. Depending on the product, you can also store the license via MY.PROTECTSTAR.
If the unlock is still missing after that, please send us a request through the support form. The following are especially helpful:
- a screenshot from the app,
- the GPA number from your Google receipt,
- and a short note stating whether you purchased via Google Play or the Protectstar Online Shop.
That allows our Support Heroes to review the case quickly and track the unlock in a targeted way.
